I was tested for diabetes a few years back and results came back negative. However it does run in my family.
Recently I have been feeling tired 24/7, drained, weak arms and legs, nauseous, hungry all the time, after I’ve eaten I’m still hungry. I’ve been getting headaches a lot, shaky and sometimes I have blurred vision.
I’ve noticed when I eat sugary foods / drinks I do start to feel better...
Is it possible to develop diabetes or for a test to come back negative if you’ve still got it? It was a couple of years ago but not sure if I’d be wasting my time getting tested again?

When I got tested I was not diabetic but less than 6 months alter and got retested I was diabetic so go get checked out but from what you say it is more likely to be low sugar which is not type 2 diabetes - I had no symptoms when I was diagnosed, I would also speak to your doctor about thyroid problems, Good Luck
Feeling better when you eat sugary foods would not be a diabetic symptom. That is a sign of low blood sugar, not high blood sugar.
Since there is a history of diabetes in your family, you should be getting a check up once every year. Just because you didn't have diabetes A COUPLE YEARS AGO doesn't mean you don't have diabetes or pre-diabetes now. The majority of people who are diagnosed as type 2 diabetes are diagnosed when they are in their 40's or 50's.
Your symptoms could be related to other issues also. Low blood iron and thyroid problems also have similar symptoms to what you describe. Without a check up with your doctor, there is no way to know for sure what your issues might be.
Please consult with your doctor
It sounds like the opposite of diabetes, like you fast a lot. Long term fasting can induce insulin resistance, so you shouldn't do that. You should eat three times per day.
