where first britain tried to block the world from buying iranian oil and squeeze iran economically because iran were going to nationalize their own oil industry under the leadership of Mosaddegh and nationalization of the oil was unanimously voted for in the iranian parliment, so the CIA and MI6 overthrew Mosaddegh to put in place the Shah who promised not to nationalize their oil so washington and london could maintain control over Iranian oil! Is this what's happening now?

Could be. Just a thought here. The Middle East is the cradle for modern society for many peoples of the world. It was the cradle of the world for exchanges of goods between East and West as well. It is a matter of opinion only. Personally Mosaddegh took Iran backwards in my opinion. To give Reza Shah he did bring a great deal of the 20th century to Iran during the 1950 to 1960s.
Britain has influenced the world for a long time, not so much anymore. You have an excellent question. I wish I could say what is on my mind. I will watch this question. We have other forms of energy coming in at a rapid pace now. Oil in the future will always have a role, perhaps not a dominant one. USA has a vast supply of oil yet untapped. We are holding on to our supply and using up the rest of the worlds supplies.
