In the 'short scale' a billion is 1000 million
( got this from wiki.answers.com)
the auto makers want $15 billion
or
$15,000 millions right
there are 300 million Americans
(got that number from www.300millionamericans.org)
$15,000 millions divided by 300 million Americans is $5 million bucks per American if my math is right anyways..
ok so my question is if my math is right why not just give everyone who lives in America $5 million bucks and shut down the auto makers???
what are you thoughts??? thanks!

So if your math is right, and we give everyone $5 million, who is going to go to work tomorrow and run the electric plants, maintain the roadways, man the fire stations, or even attend to the 911 call center? How many nurses will show up for work in the emergency room, or waitresses at your favorite restaurant, and who will wash those dishes?
Think about it.
And i think it comes out to $500.

Your math is way, way off. That's $50 per person, not $5 million.
Actually they upped the ante to 35,000 million. Which would be $11,666,666.66 plus change for me.
But your math is correct.
And I'm not greedy. If they pay off my house on the Oregon coast and my house in the Columbia River Gorge and the rest in cash up to just $1 measly million, I'd be set for my retirement.
Nice try. But it's only $50 per person.
that is some screwy logic but if u can convince every one to do it , i'm in
