This model is a 8M Pixel camera, with face detection, 3x optical zoom, Li-ion battery, Sd card memory. Just a standard camera for the price. You should consider others brand names on this range, like Canon, Lumix, Nikon, Kodak, Olympus...I think you might find better deal.

I have a Casio EX-S880 Exilim and I love it. It has 8 mega pixels, does videos and all kinds of tricks. I got mine for about $200 with tax at Costco.
Higher the Mega Pixels, the better. Same with zoom, but make sure it has more Optical zoom then Digital zoom.
