The Celeron 900 is not obsolete LOL. It's essentially a Core 2 Duo with one core disabled. It's built on a Core 2 die. On Windows 7 it works fairly well for basic activities. This isn't something you would game with, or do video editing with, but for most uses it's fairly peppy.
Today's Celeron line in NOT the Celeron line of old. If you don't understand this, STOP POSTING ON YAHOO ANSWERS. You are doing more harm than good for the people that ask questions here.
To the original poster.....it's a decent chip. It's not gonna win any awards, but for basic use it a bit faster that the AMD equivalent. If you aren't gaming or doing video editing, it's fine for most tasks.

All CPUs are good. I don't think Intel or AMD has made a 'bad' CPU in a very long time. What do you really want to know about this CPU?
Update: BluZuner is 100% correct.
Not at all. It is obsolete. It was commonly used in computers until 2002
