Is Rachel Maddow’s show the lamest on MSNBC?

She seems like a Keith Olbermann wannabe and fails miserably at that very simple task.

The recipe is simple… state something a politician says, twist it into something he/she doesn’t mean, and then make fun of them for lack of compassion.

Such as, Senator XYZ said, “The weather is great today!” Then the Olbermann formula would be, “Sure it was great today… for him. He didn’t have to sleep under a bridge last night because he lost his job. How does these morons sleep at night? Oh, I forgot… he sleeps very well, with their taxpayer supported retirement golden parachute given to him by you and others, that are now sleeping under bridges… bridges, that I should say, are badly in need of repair.”

Of course this must be said with smugness, that only viewers with same gifted intelligence would be capable of understanding.

Where Maddow would exhibit the same smugness but would simply say, “Apparently he didn’t sleep under a bridge like the unemployed taxpayer who paid for his retirement.”

It’s as though Olbermann wasn’t enough for MSNBC. I’m sure Maddow has a lot more on the ball than a copy of Olbermann and if offered the big bucks anyone would take it, but I don’t believe that MSNBC has that many lamers watching that see this as interesting.

Neither is a Jon Stewart and I’ll give the vote to Olbermann as a substitute for those that can’t get enough of a smug gotcha connection, but I think Maddow is out of her element.

What do you think?
