the election ?
I remember a united America where people celebrated just being American.
Update:The bush speech right after the world trade disaster was one of the most trying times in American history, and when Bush made that speech, I was a proud American. I think that both republican and democrats were in unity that day. The democrats along with the media have attacked Bush on the Iraq War when its been a total success. Not only have they trashed Bush’s poll numbers but they have also trashed their own, in the democrat controlled senate.
I liked Beverley’s answer to the latter part of the question the best, but the last seven in a half years President Bush has sustained more criticisms than even Nixon, Reagan have put together.
The Obama campaign has been ruthless especially in their attacks on Sarah Palin. I sincerely hope that we can save our nation from the likes of Obama. Republicans need to vote at all cost, tomorrow.
Thanks all.

Obama and his supporters are the ones that started the racial tension, class warfare and demonization of rural/small town Americans as "rednecks" and "Christian Fundies".
If that's what the Party of Tolerance wants, that's what they get. I will stand with the small town Americans should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.
Hi JC,
You asked a question earlier that has been deleted. My answer to that one is Chicago. You know the question I mean. Now for this one- I remember America the night President Bush spoke to the country right after 9/11. I have never felt such unity & strength in our country! (Although I have never forgotten Hillary rolling her eyes). My prayers are that we can get that feeling back- and I look for a miracle tomorrow in the elections. I have a car pool of people that I am taking to the polls tomorrow to make our voice heard & I will proudly cast my vote for McCain/Palin! And if the result is Obama I will continue to work hard towards the next election, because by then the country will be crying out for CHANGE that we can really believe in. Please everyone, get out and make your voice heard!
it won't totally destroy the nation, but it'll certainly damage things if he's elected. i think the economy will be WORSE with him in it. i'm really hoping things change in *gulp* less than 2 days. he can't even put his freaking hand in place & doesn't even like America. plus, too many people are voting for him because he's "black", when he's not even all black to begin with?! that factor alone is DIVIDING voters more than uniting them! i just don't understand it, & i think some people are voting for him for the wrong reasons, while others just want to believe everything he says. & who can blame them, it looks GREAT on paper... but in the real world...
We are not a banana republic and we accept the results of elections. Whoever wins we will get up Wednesday morning and just go on with our lives.
As my grandma would have said-"that's rich"
Your party's central plank in their platform is divisiveness, and turning one group of Americans against another via hate, fear, racism, and lies. Obama is trying to bring us together via hope and equality.
Next question?
Well, since Obama wants to bring the country together, and McCains campaign says not everyone is a true American and has no problem spreading hate, you figure it out.
If he wins, it's likely.
bush already destroyed america off the race card please
