Is my friend just an ä$$?
In my car on the sunvisor I pinned on a slip of paper that says dont give up with a bible verse over the mirror. I'm not a religious person at all but I find it motivating for when I'm having a bad day. My friend (also non religious) though it was stupid and called me out about it saying if I'm gay then I shouldn't be supporting the bible or hoping for better.

The only thing I can say is if it really strengthens you and makes you feel better who are they to judge you, The bible says judge less not you be judged. The opinion of the friend does hurt but do not let it alter your beliefs. A so called friend helps you to feel better with positive encounters and positive beliefs and attitudes. Them tell judge less not you be judged.
He kind of has a point. The bible isn't gay friendly. But the way he went about communicating that to you wasn't very nice. I think the most important thing is taking something positive from everything in life and using it to enpower yourself.
Thats really mean. Some people hate religious stop, i got no idea why, but maybe he was just having a horrible day? Try and see if he apologizes
