It's far too much... don't ever pay that much for a beer. If someone's charging that much for it they deserve a bollocking.
Average price is around £3. Many pubs will charge between £2 and £3, but if you go to a club or somewhere else nice then expect them to be more money i.e. up to and beyond £4.

Price of beer today is bloody crazy mate.
I think $5 U.S. is ridiculous for a beer.
That's $11.50(CAD) $11.16(USD) .That's a hell of a lot for a mass produced beer.The pub where they charge that better have great service.
