Basically, I have just turned 22 and gone through a career change. I'm working in an industry that I have NO experience in and have gone in at a base level. These things considered, is £16,000 a year good?
Update:Well the opportunities for advancement are great. Its one of the reasons I took the job. And after the first 3 months they said they would look to move to a different department, I'm just in my current role because it involves the steepest learning curve possible in the company

It is pretty much the entry level, but it is not your current salary that really matters, but two things:-
1. how much you enjoy it.
2. The prospects for advancement.
If both those are good then you have everything to work for. If either is lacking, it might be better to keep an eye out for something else. But as it's new, give it your best shot anyway.
Good luck.
That depends on whether you can live on that.
The more important thing to consider is whether there is advancement in your current career path. Will you make more money as you get more experience, or will you still be a maid cleaning hotel rooms?
if you get paid anything with no experience etc, it certainly is a beginning
whether you can manage on it is another question
