Something about an artist's work being a representation of their own perception of the subject. First there is the first removal, the first generation. This is the artist making in his own mind what he will of the subject, it may not be entirely correct. Then there is the artist's actual work, second removal or generation. It may not depict entirely what the artist had in his head. So the finished work may be far removed in reality from the original subject.
I could be wrong, google to check. I think it is part of Plato's cave in Republic.
Anything starting "in what way" is a homework question.
You live in an era when you have more information at your fingertips than we have ever had in our history.
If you still can't work out a homework question (which presumably was set by a teacher who knows that it can be answered) then you are going to have a lot of fun when you get a job.
