It’s about this girl who overdoses, trying to kill herself. An older black woman saves her. She then ends up staying with a woman who lost her husband. The husband turns out to be the pastor that molested the girl and her sister when they were kids. Either the girl or the sister pushes the pastor out of a boat when he trys to molest her, killing him. This leads them to picking “ungodly” boyfriends in their future. They have a tough life. The girl that try’s to kill herself in the beginning ends up dying of some disease. And there’s something to do with seashells too. That’s all I can remember.
