I´m going to Detroit for Royal Rumble, Joe Luis Arena. Anyone can recommend me a hotel?
Last time I was in Detroit I stayed at Crowne Plaza Metro Airport, and there was nothing to do near there. I´d like to be close to shopping, dining, and entertainment districts. Thanks for all in advance!

These are closer to the Joe and you can walk from most. These are all nice places. Go to Metromix.com for bars/restaurants that you may want to enjoy. I plan on going to the Royal Rumble as well.
Hotel Pontchartrain or the Renaissance Building Marriott is perfect. it is right downtown, and on the river. Pontchartrain is right across the street from Joe Louis.
Pontchartrain is only about one hundred dollars a night.
Renaissance is $140
The new Book Cadillac looks good.
