I keep hearing 5.5 a1c is an average of 122 in blood sugar and that’s what I tested for last Friday and a fasting glucose of 85. My urine was negative. I started exercising a week before my testing and I do intense workouts. I’m just really worried about the 5.5 . I have acanthosis nigricans and I get tingles in my fingers when I eat junk food. Sometimes even healthy food but I’m not sure. Should I do an OGTT or should I just ignore that and know that I’m actually not pre diabetic?

I have seen many of your posts continually asking and worrying about diabetes. I see many people trying to tell you that you ARE NOT DIABETIC because you aren't. You aren't even in immediate danger of pre diabetes.
Change whatever you want to or don't. Keep seeing doctors who will all tell you that you are not diabetic, or don't. Waste your money on medical bills for exams that you don't need. All you need to do right now is get a physical check up ONCE A YEAR and have your blood sugar checked ONCE A YEAR. That is often enough to catch it if you are starting to become diabetic.
I have had an A1C of 5.5 for SEVERAL YEARS. Sometimes it goes down to 5.4 and once it was even 5.6. Just because you are at 5.5 right now doesn't mean you are going to be diabetic anytime in the near future.
BTW, how are your triglycerides? That is another indicator of something being wrong with your sugar levels. When your body is becoming diabetic, the triglycerides also tend to start going out of the normal ranges. Your doctors are seeing normal fasting levels, normal A1C levels and normal triglycerides levels and they know that you are a hypochondriac and not a diabetic.
Actually, an A1C of 5.5 is an average of about 110 Glucose.
5.0 = 100
6.0 = 125
ANY A1C reading between 5.0 and 6.0 IS NORMAL
The A1C test take a 90-day average of ALL your blood glucose readings. the 5.5 indicates that your AVERAGE blood glucose level is about 110.
COMPLETELY NORMAL!!!
You have nothing to worry about.
Diabetes IS NOT the ONLY cause for Acanthosis Nigracans.
The tingling in fingers is ONE symptoms of diabetes, but a person with diabetes has MORE THAN ONE symptom. A compelling thirst and increased urination are the most common, and earliest, symptoms.
YOU ARE OK, but you need to see a doctor to find th REAL cause of your problems.
You keep posting SPAM about diabetes.
You have already had answers. If you don't like the answers, then go to a doctor and stop bothering us.
"I keep hearing" lol, either you have made it up or you "heard" wrong, because an a1c of 5.5 is not 122.
You have been told by your doctor that you are neither diabetic nor pre-diabetic. No you do not need an OGTT.
