The first question to ask yourself is: Are you acting like an adult? Are you demonstrating to the people around you through behavior and ability that you are an adult? See, just this one question you've posted above- the way it is written, the tone... It comes off as childish, immature. Biological age has very little to do with how people treat one another. Its our behavior, words and actions that people react to. Do you express yourself in a mature manner? Do you conduct yourself as an adult, taking on the rights and responsibilities of adulthood? Do you engage with other adults as an equal? An adult does not complain about being treated like a child because an adult shows others how to treat them by being in control of themselves and choosing how they present themselves to others.
