I need to get a reference but it’s not for a new job.
I’ve got a part time job at B&M and I really like it here, which is great because I’ve had a couple of jobs I just hated.
I’m never late and get on well with my managers - they always say I do a good job. So I wouldn’t have any worries getting a reference from them.
However they said you have to go through headquarters and apparently headquarters staff watch us on the cameras! I’m not sure how often, I mean I don’t know if someone is just literally glued to the camera watching us like the security guards.
But I am a bit of a worrier, and there have been times where I’ve lost patience and stupidly argued with customers - it’s happened a few times although I usually do get on well with customers.
Or a couple of times I’ve gone to the back to quickly check my phone - just little things and I don’t want this kind of stuff to be brought up.
But would it just be a general reference including punctuality and how long I’ve worked there anyway? Are they unlikely to refer to how you behave on the cameras? I know I sound rather paranoid lol

They usually burst into your new employer's office with party hats, noise makers, hands-clapping and singing a little jingle about you like they do in restaurants when it's your birthday.
