So you are asking if the church burns Britches? I love puns....
The church believe that if you think of a sin you have commited it. So if someone is smart and considers the possibility "there is no god" he has commited "Apostacy" and this is the only unforgivable sin. Look it up....
Meaning....
The only unforgivable sin in the church is to think for yourself, and doubt. So they should give up on you but I am sure you will not be that lucky friend, they will find a cosmic loophole.
I dare say there hasn't been any Christian or a very few in history including Apostles who have not at some point in there lives been too smart for there britches. That is just another way of saying you know less than you think you do. This is usually cured by living life and experiencing the fact that you are not what you thought. This is the process of growing up. God is the perfect father and knows how we are. Usually church members will pray that you will grow in that area or will confront you if they think you will really get hurt or hurt others.
First of all that is just a saying for a smart alec kid, you know like this: "whatever" says the child, "little girl, don't get too smart for you britches". It in no way condems you or dooms you to hell. It's a silly saying that began in the old days. And there is no way a church wouldn't keep you on because of it.
Do you mean being a smart a*s? Actually the church cannot doom anyone to the lake of fire and wouldn't if it could. Oh yeah, being one of those s a will eventually get you an attitude adjustment from someone.
The fiery lake is for unbelievers. Intelligence has nothing to do with it. And there are very intelligent people in the church. So intelligence has nothing to belief in God. It is how a person feels about his sin and forgiveness and that is the spiritual state of the person. This goes into the how he feels about the truth of the gospel. You will find average people and lawyers, doctors, professors, and great thinkers who will have faith.
The Church doesn't doom people, you do that all on your own. If you think you have spirituality and the afterlife figured out then why even ask this question?
they keep them. nobody on earth can "get too smart." there is no such thing. an example could be - a person goes to college and they get their masters degree, sure they know alot about that subject, but there is always going to be somthing they are going to learn or discover later on in their life-

first, if God said it were holiness to walk without clothes, our britches would be a burden anyway.
2nd everyone goes through the lake of fire but,
only those that are sanctified are not hurt by it.

Does that make sense?
Honestly, religious persons always befriend and keep all people like them around. The more psychotic they are, the more useful they are.
To manipulate weak gullible minded people to join their flock, just for financial monetary gain.
They encourage them to join the seminary, I imagine.
