The rich make most of their money in long term capital gains which are taxed at 15%. Upper middle class income is taxed at 25% or higher. This is not "class welfare" it's simply making the rich pay the same tax rates as the upper middle class.

Do you think people who live off the stock market never lose? How unrealistic you are. People move in and out of poverty and wealth all the time. Its life. There was some serious class warfare in France a couple hundred years ago. Several of the wealthy lost their heads in that one. The new class warfare isn't quite as destructive.
