So I was reading up on the stimulus package requirements and it said that I had to have filed either my 2018 taxes or 2019 taxes. I haven't file my 2019 taxes yet, but it also said if you were claimed as a dependent then you aren't eligible at all. I don't think that's fair being that my circumstances are different now, than what they were in 2018. So am I still ineligible because of my 2018 taxes? By the way, even after I was claimed as a dependent I still filed my own, and got a refund back for myself. I'm not sure how all this works can someone help me???
Update:I haven't filed my 2019 taxes yet. But I did file my 2018 taxes, I was claimed as a dependent in 2018 as well though.

no, does not go to dependents.
Dependent children qualify for $500. If you filed for yourself, you get $1200. Hurry up and file your 2019 return.
