You know some people are Muslim only because they were born to
Muslim parents. Such people take only a form and follow it. But
people like you who think and accept Kalmah with their heart, will
pray with heart, spend with their heart and fast with their heart. And
Allah knows the real feelings of a believer when he prays and accepts
or rejects his prayers on that basis. So your prayers are likely to be
accepted. Islam is not only a belief, but it is also a practice. As a
student who wants to qualify, goes to college and prepares for exam.
It is not a formality but a pre-requisite of his success. Similary if you
do not pray, fast, spend your hard earned income in the way of Allah
you can not succeed in the hereinafter.
May Allah guide you to His true path.
