final decision of such importance within 12 days of the election (the last debate was 10/22/2020) is ridiculous. Add to that DeJoy's slowing down of absentee/ mail in ballots and individual postal workers throwing them away, and the 11/03/2020 deadline for ballots to arrive is unconstitutional. If the IRS can take your returns as on time so long as it's postmarked by the due date, so can the various Secretaries of State.

Sorry, but states have to abide by the laws that their legislatures enact. Pennsylvania's Secretary of State can't just make up new rules on the fly that violate state law.
First, DeJoy didn't slow anything down. That's just FAKE NEWS. He's been trying to reform the USPS which has been losing BILLIONS each year for over a decade now. Just a reminder, under Obama, over 100 mail processing centers were closed. Over 12,000 mail collection boxes removed. All part of reforming the USPS when the volume of mail has dropped significantly since electronic communications became prominent.
Second, PA State Law says all ballots must be in by election day. That's why. People in PA had 35 days to vote early. Plenty of time to vote. It's not like they were denied access. And if they couldn't mail their ballots in on time, they could drop them off at various spots that day and still have them counted.
