ok so i want to open my credit bcus i want to get a phone at atnt and im gonna get my id tomorrow i was wondering if could go with the receipt they give you in the dmv and your ssn and do it just like that or do you actually need to show the id card

Sorry, but you need a state issued picture ID.
When you go to the DMV to get your license or state ID, they make it right there and then, there is no waiting time.
Also, if you have no credit, you can bet AT&T is going to want a hefty deposit or a cosigner to open an account for you.
