HAve you tried actually reading the book? I know that's a radical suggestion, but it's really interesting that she was picking up on so many problems a long time ago- and those problems have increased.

I'm pretty sure she never said that the overproduction of food was a problem. What we're seeing now is farmers plowing under crops because they can't sell to schools, hotels, restaurants, etc. while poor people don't have enough to eat because their kids aren't being fed at school any more.
