i met this guy and hes dead nice ive seen him a couple of times but we have been texting or on msn everyday hes said hes falling for me and really fond of me and when i was having problems with my family he was always there and said if when ever i needed to talk im 18 and hes 23 i think im falling for him too, then i found out he had been in prison twice once when he was 14 and then again when he was 18, he was nice though i wouldnt have though it and my ex is now in prison and he was a horrible person and did some pretty bad things and they have told me i shouldnt go out with him and i dont know if i should or not he keep on saying things like i wanna snuggle up to you more and keeps trying to kiss me so i try and stop him coz im not sure what i want. so should i date him? thanks

You really need to ask why he's been in jail.
It's not that he might be a bad guy or anything but being in jail for like robbery can stop you from getting a job or something like that.
Try to find out because you don't want to be with a bum or a drug dealer.
Have you met his friends and family? Maybe they can tell you a bit about him or you could get to know more about him.
Also listen to what your friends say as well, they want what's best for you.
