You are aware of it which is a start but try and be in your own head when you're talking to people. When there is lots of people don't get carried away with talking and stuff, just think before you talk. It's not always a bad thing, usually with friends at your age they compete, think less arrogant and more competitive, try to make what you say true too so then you'd be like 'yeah I done this and we were sooo...' and whatever!

When I was younger, we used to compete about who got up the earliest, times have changed but it's basically the same!

Well, what you need to do is before you talk to someone or answer his/her question, you need to think of what you will say, think twice if needed.

Think of how he/she will feel to what you will say, have empathy.

Sometimes maybe what you say to him/her is funny to you but hurtful to them

Think about what you will say instead of saying exactly what's on your mind at an instant

It will be hard to adjust but it's worth it.
