Sure it can be done, it has been and you will need to pay the £40 additional yourself or you will be in debt with rent and that will end up you being given notice to leave and evicted if required................... so find the £40 or find a new rental that is cheaper
obviously there are limitations to the benefits you are getting, and getting these benefits does not give you free license to make your situation more grave(be having more children to support)

" this is how much we are going to pay - that leaves you to make up the difference, and thats £40"
