I have a sinus infection and have been on amoxicillin for almost 10 days. But now Iβm getting cold symptoms like mucus?
Update:
Does that mean itβs coming out of you system and medicine is working as for the stuffy nose , they say that antibiotics dries out the nose will all this clear up π
It's certainly possible that your mucus problem is simply the sinuses finally draining. What's more important is whether or not the mucus is clear. If not, that could mean the amoxicillin wasn't effective on whatever bug you had. But antibiotics don't dry up your sinuses-- that's why you need to take a decongestant. Try taking Mucinex or pseudoephedrine and if it doesn't improve, call your doctor.
