Thats pretty bad that they are doing this to five year olds, they should be sued. Drinking water makes you heavier, so stay dehydrated till the weigh in is over. Doing burpees in a sauna helps you loose weight quickly. This is what boxers and mma fighters do in those situations.
My best advice for your 5-year-old child is to fast after dinner tonight. Doing this will greatly improve your child's chances of (naturally) dropping the half-pound overnight needed to make weight for football this upcoming season.
Just let him eat a little , then make him play out side for the day..Then you can both go into a sauna to loose water weight.. this should probably work :)
Sweat, spit and barf. Let him sleep with 10 blankets on and sweat it out overnight. I heard of spitting in a cup before weigh in. Either that, or barf it out.

Just give him low carb food and play around with him by running to loose weight
He needs to exersize a decent amount and he can't eat tons it's easy to put on half a pound.

epsim salt might be dangerous, so run around really alot and not eat much. also no breakfast until after weigh in.
