I just recently had a meeting with a marine recruiter about the opportunities that the Marines can offer to students and I thought she had done such a terrific job filling me in and then towards the meeting she had asked me “are you ready to become a U.S. Marine?” And I was completely shocked and scared but I told her that I was out of hesitation and then she started to fill me in on what will be happening next. After that meeting I’ve been nonstop thinking about my future now and I am honestly scared of everything. I’m scared of moving away from home because I’m a very soft guy and I love seeing my family, I’m scared that I would be missing out on family holidays and miss out on other special occasions, I’m scared that I may not even be prepare for something such as that. In general, I’m scared of change. Is there any advice someone can give me to feel much comfortable and calm?

I recommend never to join any branch of the US military
No one can answer that for you. Just make sure that you don't join because of pressure. Remember that recruiters are "salesmen" and they don't take no for an answer.
If you are really a "soft" guy and are into your family life as much as you indicate, the USMC and the active duty military in general isn't for you. Look into the National Guard or one of the military reserve units as you could return to your home and family after your initial training. Then you would only serve 39 days a year, one weekend a month drilling in your local armory or training site and then 15 days a year active duty training.
And that's why being a Marine would be good for you. It will build up your self esteem and confidence. So you won't be scared to be away from home. In fact you will relish the chances you'll have as a Marine to meet new people, go new places, and become your own man.
No one is ever ready. People who think they are generally turn out to be the most overwhelmed in phase 1. If your heart is not into it, the Corps is not for you.
never join any military.
Well than, it's about time you grew up now ain't it ?
