Maybe it's time for you to start looking for assisted living places; seeing what is available.
My sister has early onset dementia and we found her a place a few weeks ago; she is on their waiting list. There is an agency in our town which helps people find places within their budget; they gave my sister a list and we made appointments. Maybe your town has something similar. Check with Area on Ageing or ask your doctor about such a place.
Without long term care insurance, you are basically on your own. There used to be programs that would pay it - state homes but those were abolished years ago. Now, you would have to sell your home and the proceeds would have to pay for a nursing home for you. Other options are live with your children. You have been getting social security, right? That will likely continue and you would be expected to live on that. Medicaid would pay for an emergency if you don't have the money but, it won't pay for a nursing home anymore.
IDK where you live, but start making plans. You may be able to get help from a social worker. If not, you'll have to do your own research. Examine nursing homes in your area very carefully. First impressions are important, but so are business reports and state reports. Your Dept. of Health probably has statistics available.
