I would say he's correct. A lot of people subliminally (never consciously admitted) would prefer to attach themselves to a school of thought rather than actually thinking for themselves.
How many people actually understand legislation and ideas before they attach themselves one side or the other. The answer is few. They understand what they are told to understand.
