How would you rate the 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i3-2310M processor 2.10 GHz compared to the 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i5-2410M processor 2.30 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 up to 2.90 GHz?
How much more efficient would the i5 processor be? Is the i5 process a must have?

The 2410M ranks considerably higher in bench marks then the 2310M. for more overall work the 2410M would be better. keep in mind there laptop CPU's so they are not up to a desktop CPU
The i5 would be a better choice for more all round performance.
It depends what you want it for. The i3 is a dual-core with hyperthreading, while the i5 is a true quad-core processor. If you plan on light-medium gaming, I would suggest the i5. If you plan on internet surfing and watching videos, get the i3.
If you can afford the i5, get the i5, just to be future-proof.
