I know that sin(π-x) is equivalent to +sin, and I looked at the answer to sin(x- π) and it was -sin. How do I evaluate for it? I don't think that it would just be the opposite as this does not remain consistent for other questions of its type.

The identity for sin (a - b) is sina cosb - cos a sin b so you'd have sin x cos π - cos x sin π.
cos π = -1 and sin π = 0 so it becomes sin x (-1) - 0 sin x which equals - sin x
So essentially, sin(x - π) is not equal to sin (π - x).
If that helps any...
x-π = -(π-x)
and
sin(-A) = -sin(A)
Put those two together.
