I would say that Korea is a fairly inexpensive place to live. In Seoul, you can get a decent meal for around 3-5 dollars. That includes the main dish with banchan and everything.This site shows you the prices of some of the basic goods that you may need to buy. (For example, a can of coke is about 50 cents in Korea. But of course, Korean soft drink cans are smaller than American ones..a bit skinnier.)

As of last night (11 June) here in South Korea, the
official Bank exchange rate is 906 Won per dollar. Of course, the banks won't exchange at exactly that rate; they want/need their profit also.
The unofficial blackmarket rate is a little higher; around 920 Won per dollar.
1000 Won is a dollar in us... and 10000 is 10 dollar...
but if u go 2 korea some of the stuff that they sell in korea is a lot cheaper then america...
