I know that Áine is pronounced Awn-ya, but how is Ainè pronounced with the accent over the E instead of A?
fgdf
Ainé in Irish would be said An-yay but I live in Ireland and have never heard anyone using the accent over the E. It's always Ãine said Awn-yah.
so my friend from ireland is named Aine but with tht little hing over the A.
its pronounced like Anya. her full name is Aine Maureen
Hope i helped (:
It's Irish pronounced awwn-ya
The accent is called a fáda which means long in Irish so when it's over the a it's awwn-ya and that is a recognised Irish name but with it over the e it's pronounced
An-ya
It's awn ya. It's Irish. I'm Irish
I would pronounce it eye-ne ne like nerd not nee ....my daughters name begins with ai and I prounce it like EYE
AHN-yuh
I'm assuming it's similar to Anya.
that is kind of weird, is it like french name or something?
i would have definitely pronounced it like an-ney or awn-ney
I would have pronounced it like rain..minus the "R"
