(1.1) + 2 =

3.1.

= (3 3/10 * 1/3) + 2

= (33/10 * 1/3) + 2

= ([99 + 10]/30) + 2

= 109/30 + 60/30

= 169/30 or 5 19/30

Do the bracket first... 1.1.

Then add the 2 .....3.1.

(3.3 × 1/3) + 2 

= 1.1 + 2

= 3.1

This is just an expression that needs to be simplified:

3.3 * 1 / 3 + 2

Multiplication and Division get done first, from left-to-right:

3.3 / 3 + 2

1.1 + 2

Then add:

3.1

They used to call this "Order of Operations" which has more rules than this.  People today use the term PEDMAS or something similar, which I'm not a fan of since it may imply that you do division before multiplication, which isn't true.

it's just arithmetic. follow the laws of precedence.
