Solve 3x²=x²
My curiosity to ask this question is because the answer is 0 and 1/3
How the hell do I get 1/3?? I keep getting 0...

Your equation is probably copied wrong. For those roots it should be 3x² = x.
Now 3x² – x = 0
x(3x – 1) = 0
x=0, x = 1/3
i suppose the question is wrong because
if 3x²=x
then 3x²-x=0
x(3x-1)=0
therefore x=0 or 3x-1=0 so x=1/3
this is my guess. i don't know if its right.
i'll be happy if my answer helps
sorry, if my answer is wrong
if that's really the question,, i think, 0 is the only answer which exists..
I guess you only get 1/3 as answer, maybe, because you confused one of the variables or something like that.. That was what i am thinking..
3x^2 cannot equal X^2 except when x = zero.
this is like saying x = x+1, it just ain't gonna happen algebraically (although that makes a fine loop statement in computer programming).
3x² = x²
3x² - x² = 0
2x² = 0
x² = 0
x = 0
Hope this helps.
3x^2-x^2=0
2x^2=0
x^2=0
x=0.
