How can I find out the formula in Excel 2007 “what is the difference between 2 days and times?”
I want to count the 2 different days and count the 2 different hours and minutes for example 4 days and 4:30.
I have got “22/08/2009 17:30” in A1 and “25/08/2009 03:00” in B1
A1 22/08/2009 17:30
B1 25/08/2009 03:00
C1 ?

Put this in C1...
=TEXT(B1-A1, "d ""days and"" h:mm")
The result should be 2 days and 9:30
For this formula to work, you have to make sure the Date\Times in cells A1 and B1 are recognized by Excel as a Date\Time and not just a text string.
If you click on cell A1 and look in the formula bar, you should see...
22/08/2009 5:30:00 PM
If you see that, it is a Date\Time recognized by Excel
If you see...
22/08/2009 17:30
...it is just a text string and the formula will not work.
