In the 1930’s, many Americans business and arms manufactures had engaged in a conspiracy to get the United States into World War I. Is there any evidence to support such a view? In what ways did American business actually benefit from U.S. neutrality in the war?

You have your dates muddled .
the US entered WW1 in 1917 , 3 years after it started .
the US entered ( or rather " Were entered into " ) WW2 in decemnber 1941 , 3 years after it started .
( Are you seeing a pattern here ? )
In both cases they used the time before to sell vast amounts of weapons , munitions , and all kinds of other stuff ( a lot of which was of dubious quality ) to all and sundry , but mostly to their own future Allies .
