I’m a 24 year old male and I am looking for a particular hair style. I am looking for a style where it’s spiked up with my hair straight. My hair isn’t curly but when I put gel on it my hair curls with the gel and the weight of it.
I see other people who put tones of gel in their hair and it’s dead straight. Is there a way to get it straight when I put gel on it? could anyone suggest a different gel to use. I’m using dax gel, it’s very thick and heavy but it works the best.

Hmm, there's soft gel and hard gel. If you're using a soft gel then I suggest you switch to something that will harden when it dries. You might need to try different brands until you find something that gives you the results you want.
An alternative to hair gel is holding spray.
