No more than the phrase "wait for it" has...the problem is that as a noun it is used so much because so much of what people say and write is unoriginal, overused, stereotypical, redundant etc. and it properly labels that stuff. It is difficult to get an original idea or statement off since so many are trying to do it in blogs, forums, youtube videos, tweets etc. I don't think there has ever a time in history that so much self-publication and "public" (depending on your privacy settings) commentary has been produced and shared so widely, mass producing cliches (I cannot get the accent to work...)
