I would have to say now. I am a little biased, though, considering I was only 6 years old 10 years ago. But I still prefer today's Hard Rock. Hard Rock in 2002 was OK, but I don't think it compares to what we have today. There's so many more accessible artists and great songs out there today compared to 10 years ago, mostly because of the rapid advancement in technology over the last 10 years. I bet in 10 years we'll be saying the same thing about the Hard Rock of 2022 compared to 2012 as well. But hey, that's just mt opinion.
