So my grandma is 72 years old has always been mobile and healthy up until 2 months ago when she came back from vacation in Mexico. She runs out of breathe just with walking across the room. She’s always had asma but it was never serious. 2 days ago she had a asma attack where we had to take her to the ER. Doctors said she’s fine and should should go back to normal. Now she is still having trouble breathing and feels like she can’t breathe through her nose or mouth. What can we do? It’s never been this severe. Tried setting up doctor appointments time and time and they always say it’s just her asma

Here is a simple home remedy, you can do at home if you wish.
Take one spoon of sesame seed oil in the morning in a empty stomach
and also at night before going to bed.
Also drink 1 glass of hot water immediately.
Always drink hot water. Hot food etc.
Always wear warm cloths.
Always use hot water for bathing.
completely avoid cold drinks, cold food ,
Never use Fan, A.C, Cooler.
Use and include sesame seed oil for cooking food.
that's all you need to do, with in 7 days she will feel better
and with in 15 days she will be back moving around easily.
and I am sure she will be healthy as long as she lives.
Call her an ambulance.
Try using Nasacort spray to help with her nose and have her take an antihistamine such as Claritin or Zyrtec if she is not already taking one.
One ER visit is not a doctor's appointment. If your granny has asthma she should be on medication. The right thing for her to do is to see her GP or alternatively an allergist/immunologist or pulmonologist who can test her lung function and prescribe a variety of medications or change her current prescriptions to be more effective. They can also do tests to see if she has seasonal allergies, contracted pneumonia, or developed COPD or other respiratory conditions that are exacerbating her asthma.
You can buy good air cleaners that incorporate ionisers. These definitely help with asthma. We have a VAX model. It was quite expensive but it's worth every penny. See link for example. They must sell similar models in the US.
