The Kingdom of God is a heavenly government. It will replace all other governments and will cause God’s will to be done in heaven and on earth. So God’s Kingdom is the solution to our need for good government.—Read Daniel 2:44; Matthew 6:9, 10.
When did God’s Kingdom start ruling?
Jesus became King in 1914. Shortly afterward, he threw Satan and his demons down to the earth. (Revelation 12:7-10, 12) Since then, mankind’s troubles have severely increased. Wars, earthquakes, famines, epidemics, and lawlessness are part of a sign that the present system of things is in its last days. (2 Timothy 3:1-5) All who want to benefit from God’s Kingdom should learn how to become followers of the King, Jesus.—Read Luke 21:7, 10, 11, 31, 34, 35.
What does God’s Kingdom accomplish?
By means of a global preaching work, God’s Kingdom is already helping millions from all nations to learn God’s ways. (Matthew 24:14) It will protect “a great crowd” of Jesus’ loyal subjects when it destroys the present wicked system of things on earth.—Read Revelation 7:9, 10, 13-17.
During a period of 1,000 years, the Kingdom will gradually make the earth a paradise. Finally, Jesus will hand the Kingdom back to his Father. (1 Corinthians 15:24-26) Do you know someone whom you would like to tell about God’s Kingdom?—Read Psalm 37:10, 11, 29.
When will God’s Kingdom come? Jesus taught that the start of his kingly rule would coincide with a marked period of time that he called his “presence.” Jesus gave a detailed prophecy to indicate when his presence in kingly power would begin. This time period would be marked by global troubles, including wars, famines, earthquakes, pestilences, and an increasing of lawlessness. (Matthew 24:3, 7-12; Luke 21:10, 11) These and the many other features Jesus foretold have been particularly evident since 1914, the year when World War I broke out. Hence, Jesus is now ruling as King. Soon the time will arrive for the Kingdom to come and cause God’s will to be done on earth.
MILLIONS of people worldwide are familiar with the prayer that many call the Our Father, or the Lord’s Prayer. Both expressions refer to a famous prayer given as a model by Jesus Christ himself. It is a very meaningful prayer, and a consideration of its first three petitions will help you to learn more about what the Bible really teaches.
At the beginning of this model prayer, Jesus instructed his hearers: “You must pray, then, this way: ‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth.’” (Matthew 6:9-13) What is the significance of these three petitions?
We have already learned a lot about God’s name, Jehovah. And to some extent we have discussed God’s will—what he has done and will yet do for mankind. To what, though, was Jesus referring when he told us to pray: “Let your kingdom come”? What is God’s Kingdom? How will its coming sanctify God’s name, or make it holy? And how is the coming of the Kingdom related to the doing of God’s will?
whilst will Gods Kingdom Come? no longer quickly adequate, i'm so impatient. My awareness is that Matthew 24:15 is in many circumstances pertaining to the Roman military that encamped around Jerusalem around approximately sixty six CE yet, it won't be understood why, they moved away, which gave time for people who believed in Christs words to flee to the mountains, then in 70 CE the Roman military back and took Jerusalem alongside with the destruction of the temple. besides the shown fact that this additionally makes up the greater effective sign of Jesus presence and the 'disgusting ingredient that reasons desolation status in a holy place' at present that 'disgusting ingredient that reasons desolation' is the UN and the reality that that Christendom have pronounced the UN as a seen representation of Gods Kingdom means they have placed the UN 'in a holy place' Or something like that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!a million
