In a few weeks my class will be doing dissection with different kinds of animals, but first we have to practice with fruit, but I don't know what kind of fruit I should pick. I want one that's not to common, as in not a lot of people would do.
P.S no big fruits such as...
Watermelons
Pineapples
Coconuts. :p

How about pomegranate? Also, oranges and lemons spring to mind though they're more common. It will depend what's in season so you'll probably be best to take a trip to the store and see what's available just now. Remember tomatoes and cucumber are also fruit.
Strawberries, Star Fruit, Pomegranates, Kiwi, Blood Orange, Lychee, Durian (ok, don't do that one), Purple or Red Bananas, Dragonfruit, Papayas.... I could really go on.
Since not all fruits are in season right now, you might want to browse your local produce department to see what is.
maybe an onion? it has lots of layers for cutting away. i know its not a fruit, but it would be good for practicing
