Foursquare question: Does anyone know how the algorithm works in determining the “mayor” of a location? Or i?

The parking lot attendant a block away just stole the “mayor” title of my office from me even though (a) 374 of the 551 of all check-ins (67.9%) of are mine, (b) all my check-ins are always public, and (c) I have checked in four days in a row when I was overtaken as mayor. I know this is silly, but I hate some guy who has never stepped foot in my office becoming the “mayor”.
