This is a little tricky without actually seeing the picture it is referring to, but I will give it my best shot. Use V=IR to find your current, where V=voltage drop, I=current and R=resistance. All the voltage will be used across all the resistors and the current is the same across the whole circuit (unless it is in parallel, in which case it gets tricky), so V=5, R=8.5, therfore I=0.588...., which we will then divide by 1000 to get mA, which is then 588mA. I cant really help with the other question without seeing the pic
