Do you agree with Fred Thomson’s statement about the protection of the unborn & newly born babies?

“We need a president who doesn’t think that the protection of the unborn or a newly born baby is above his pay grade.” -- Fred Thompson

I believe Sen. Fred Thomson was referring to this statement that Sen. Barack Obama made during the saddleback presidential forum…

WARREN: That was a freebie. That was a gimme. That was a gimme, OK? Now, let’s deal with abortion; 40 million abortions since Roe v. Wade. As a pastor, I have to deal with this all of the time, all of the pain and all of the conflicts. I know this is a very complex issue. Forty million abortions, at what point does a baby get human rights, in your view?

OBAMA: Well, you know, I think that whether you’re looking at it from a theological perspective or a scientific perspective, answering that question with specificity, you know, is above my pay grade.

I didn’t want to ask this question being that it is a very touchy subject… but I’m still wondering has Barack Obama ever elaborated on what he meant by:

“,answering that question with specificity, you know, is above my pay grade.” ?

What does Barack mean by that answer…? Has he ever said anything anywhere in a statement or in an interview that updates what he meant by giving an answer like that... above his "Pay grade" ?

Update:

Does anyone have any links or a statement or some updated statements from Barack Obama that confirm that he was referring to God when he said above his pay grade?

I had an idea that maybe that is what he meant... but is there anywhere where he is specific about what he meant by that??

Or we just have to insert what we think he means... like a guessing game?
