I think that human beings have a moral responsibility to support human rights period.
I think it is strange that anyone who claims to support equal rights for people with different sexual preferences would not also support equal rights for women or for all races and vice versa. There probably are people like that though, unfortunately.
As far as activism goes, I think it's only right that individuals are free to decide for themselves what causes they will invest their time and energies into. Someone who is actively supporting same sex marriage in a US state is busy enough and I assume they do care about women's rights in Islamic countries or indigenous women but their time is limited. I can understand that.
Not really. Groups have the right to specialize in an effort to get their main objectives met. I don't expect the NAACP to automatically champion for women's rights either. What we have is minorities rule in action. Certainly, there a lot of LGBTQ activists who also consider themselves feminists and a lot of feminists (this one included) who consider themselves pro-LGBTQ, but it shouldn't be a requirement. LGBTQ groups loyalties and responsibilities belong to the LGBTQ community.
i'm no longer partial to feminism or MRA yet a minimum of the feminists certainly offset their complaining with the help of taking action. MRA basically sit down and mope on line. they are saying "oh we are nonetheless in our infancy" yet they have been saying that for what 5,6,7 years now? Feminists got here out of the gate working whilst they first began getting a following. i think of their, the MRA's, greatest subject is their failure to be inclusive to all adult men. I even have been to their sites and that i ought to declare those sites are very hetero-centric (some even straightforward homophobic), I see little or no addressing subjects dealing with minority adult men, and albeit it somewhat is frequently complicated to tell if i'm finding at a MRA internet site or the internet site of a few extreme right wing pundit. they have in actuality constrained their club to hetero white center type conservative adult men. it somewhat is a demographic that it somewhat is getting smaller each year. like the GOP they gained't be waiting to advance in the event that they do no longer attain out to different sections of the inhabitants and that they are going to be perpetually in this state of infancy we pay attention plenty approximately.
Considering that a lot of the Women's Movements have gone out of their way to oppose Gay rights unless their demands are met first it would be hard to see why.
