Sad, sad devastating news leaving me lost for words

for someone that I had only recently got to know through

exchange of e-mails.

A huge loss and a very sad day in Y!A.

OMG. I take this forum so lightly all along and sometimes it seems the contributors here are just avatars, cartoons, voices.. Now I could really feel the humanity behind them. I'm so sorry for Ipek and her family. Ipek is without doubt a truly kind and helpful person, sharing generously what she knows and is always ready to help out a curious tourist in the Turkey section, no matter how mundane the question. Just as smalls grains of sand make mountains, the accumulation of her small kind gestures over the years are a great contribution to society.. and that's only what she did casually in the spare time. It's hard to believe that we will no longer see her answering :(.. and it's still hard for me to refer to her in the past tense. Rest in peace, Ipek. If there's a heaven, I'm sure you are already given a top spot there. You shall live on in our memories.

A sad news indeed. I'm pleased to know that this question has been restored.

Ipek's absence will always be felt on this forum. Even though I never knew her personally other than through her answers, I share in this grief.

I have just turned my laptop on and discovered the shocking news, our friend Ipek is no longer here with us. I am so sorry to hear that Ipek has passed away.

I know she will be deeply missed, she was a kind human being and was loved by all of our Turkish friends and others.

Her family and friends have my deepest sympathy and condolences.

Allahtan rahmet diler ve hepimizin basi sag olsun, mekani Cennet olsun . Her yasayan bu olumu bir gun tadacak. Cok uzgunum arkadaslar.

I don't know how to describe my feelings. Just the love shown by the people here is enough to understand how great person you were...by the ones who were friends of you and the ones who didn't know you in person, just like me...

I wish we learnt about her disease earlier. Maybe we could organize something and find the appropriate liver on time. I guess she didn't want to bother us.......

This is so shocking.

I just still cannot put it into words how hard it is for me to express my sorrow and sadness right now and how very sorry I am at losing such a friend... It is really like losing a family member for me. I miss her and will miss her... even though she will be in my heart and thoughts and prayers forever.

But, on the other hand, I am very happy and feel truly blessed to have known such a good and charming person and had İpek as a friend and confidante.

May Allah rest her soul in peace and paradise.

Goxy left us four months ago and now "a smiling face"...

all I can see.
